This quality laboratory gyroscope has free-running bearings that allow it to run more than two minutes from a single cord-pull start and features circular guard disks on the axle that prevent the starting cord from becoming trapped in the bearing. The 175-gram solid metal rotor has a moment of inertia of about 2 x 10-5 kgm2. The gyroscope is mounted on a gimbal ring and comes with two stands, one with a rotating frame and the other with rocker feet. A 60-cm starting cord and handle are also supplied. Highly recommended for the classroom setting!
