What the heck is a heat conductometer? Well, a heat conductometer is used for comparing the thermal conductivity of five metals: aluminum, brass, steel, nickel, and copper. The 5 spokes radiate from a brass hub. Each rod is marked on the rods. There are notches in each rod to hold the wax, which is an essential tool for testing the thermal conductivity. Each unit comes with a supply of wax and an instruction manual.
